Leave the drama to those who get it: the Italians! Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2024 show was an impeccable Opera-like spectacle, it followed a luxurious presentation of the brand’s latest Alta Gioielleria jewellery collection as part of many events happening to celebrate the brand's 40th anniversary in Italy.
Below, a little report about the exquisite collection and the fascinating set up. (The images are stills of the IG live held by DG).
“In the bright Mediterranean light of the archaeological site of Nora, each creation pays homage to Sardinia’s deep historical roots, a land rich in symbols and profound meanings that transports observers on a journey through tradition and modernity.
These masterpieces weave a tale wrapped in mystery and beauty, employing a play of glimmers, textures and unique decorations that seamlessly embrace the body, achieving a perfect balance between secrecy and revelation, refinement and daring, the seen and the unseen.” DG
“Personally selected by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for the Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda 2024 event, Phillip K. Smith III, a celebrated American artist, found inspiration in the mesmerising beauty of Nora and the metaphysical aura of the collection. The result was the creation of “Nora Mirage”, an installation that encourages viewers to contemplate beauty in its most authentic and pure form.”
BravĂssimo!
