A little bit of a hidden paradise in Portugal: Foz do Douro, where the river meets the sea. Porto's affluent district for 2024, where we find picturesque beaches, trendy bars, and historic fortresses. A must visit place when in the city and the perfect place to watch the sunset after a stroll day touristing around.
About 5 km from Porto, it takes 10-15 minutes by car depending on traffic and it’s a beautiful drive along the river as well. We went there on dec 23 as a start of my bday celebrations and we enjoyed a great bottle white wine while watching the sunset.
