Another trip around the sun! Finishing the lap and spending the special date this time in my favorite place in the world, my soulmate London. I've always wanted to check out the famous Sketch bar and my birthday seemed the perfect occasion for that.
Although celebrating will never be or feel the same again without my father, we managed to have a great time out, enjoying the cool atmosphere of the place while sipping a glass of rosé wine.
You've probably heard about the Sketch before or has seen photographies somewhere of its weird egg shaped bathroom. What you may not know is it has even more to offer, with a total of 5 eateries where you can have tea for lunch, brunch or dinner - by the way, The Sketch Lecture Room and Library was awarded its first Michelin star in 2005, its second star in 2012 and its third star in 2019.
Grateful for a year filled with love.
Had to do it: Heart shaped vintage bday - and delicious - cake from Cake Box.
My tip if you're also celebrating your bday in the city: you must try these cakes. All of Cake Box' products are 100% egg free (approved by The Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom) and you really can’t taste the difference. Each cake is unique, personalized baked and decorated for you.
By the way, Sketch's home, 9 Conduit Street, was designed by James Wyatt in 1779 and has previously been the headquarters of the Royal Institute of British Architects before later becoming the London Atelier of Christian Dior.
The Sketch pod loos were conceived by Mazouz and Duchaufour-Lawrance as an innovative bathroom design, and have remained unchanged since 2002, becoming the most distinctive element of Sketch's interior design.
Cheers to making more amazing memories!
